Congratulations to the 2025 ASSA-CASS Joint Action Program recipients

The ASSA-CASS Joint Action Program awards grants to teams of social scientists from Australia and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). These grants are suited to early-career Australian researchers to collaborate with a researcher from CASS in areas of shared interest. The Academy would like to thank Fellows for their time and expertise in reviewing the Australian applicants of this years program: David Goodman, Andrew Podger, and Adam Possamai.

2025 recipients:
  1. Dr Edward Sing Yue Chan (Australian National University) & Dr Qin Shen – A study on the Prospects of the Australia-China Cooperation in the South Pacific Region.
  2. Dr Kong Lingyu (Adelaide University) & Dr Gao Chaoqun – Reconstructing Trust in Uncertain Times: Historical Insights into Regional Security and Australia-China Economic Cooperation
  3. Le (Laura) Luo (Macquarie University) & Zhang Xiaoxi – A Study on the Synergistic Mechanisms for Advancing Climate Governance and Economic Growth .
