During this webinar, Roberto Daniele Co-Chair of the Australasia Chapter of Catalyst 2030 will provide an introduction to Catalyst 2030 and the Catalyst 2030 Australasia Chapter. Then Dr Sharon Zivkovic will introduce the new Catalyst 2030 Social Entrepreneurial Scholar Practitioner Group and discuss how barriers associated with the rigour-relevance divide of entrepreneurial research can be addressed, if universities support social entrepreneurial scholar-practitioners.
Catalyst 2030 is a global movement of social entrepreneurs and social innovators from all sectors who share the common goal of creating innovative, people-centric approaches to attain the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The Catalyst 2030 Social Entrepreneurial Scholar Practitioner Group is a subgroup of the global Catalyst 2030 Systems Change Learning Working Group and will be operated out of the Catalyst 2030 Australasia Chapter.
Scholar-Practitioners are individuals who have one foot each in the worlds of academia and practice and are interested in advancing both theory and practice. The Catalyst 2030 Social Entrepreneurial Scholar Practitioner Group will develop initiatives to support Social Entrepreneurial Scholar-Practitioners, including Scholar-Social Entrepreneurs and Scholar-System Stewards.
