Monash Arts Social Justice Matters video competition

Social Justice Matters is a short video essay competition for high school students – tell us what social justice issue you are passionate about, why it matters, and what we can do to address this issue. This competition is being run by the School of Social Sciences at Monash University.

To enter you must be a current high school student in Australia. Submissions will be accepted from individuals or groups, but we encourage team work and collaboration.

Monash Arts is offering $2000 in prizes! The winner will receive a $1000 gift card to a retailer of their choice. There will be several runner-up categories, with winners in those categories also receiving gift cards.

Key dates
29 July, 4pm – Join our online information session. The session will also be recorded and made available on this website.

30 August, 11.55pm – Competition closes.

6-12 September – Winners to be announced during Social Sciences Week at a screening and awards ceremony. Details to come.
