The Social Science of Terrorism – Understanding Causes, Consequences and Effective Responses

[This is a closed event for students at St Catherine’s School, Toorak, Victoria] 

In this workshop, Dr Joshua Roose, scholar of the role of masculinity in the rise of western foreign fighters, political Islam, and of contemporary multiculturalism and the emergence of global populist movements will discuss the social science of terrorism with students. The St Catherine’s students will discuss the causes and consequences of terrorism using examples including Boko Haram, IS and state terrorism.
