Bruce Chapman is Professor of Economics at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the ANU. He has worked directly on many labour market and education policies, such as HECS, Working Nation and the 2010 changes to Youth Allowance, and was a principal economic advisor to the Prime Minister Paul Keating, 1994-96. His research interests include education and labour market economics, income contingent loans, the economics of crime, the economics of cricket, and applied econometrics. He was awarded an Order of Australia (General division) in 2003.
