The Academy works with a broad range of social scientists, policy makers, educators and international colleague.

Fellows are integral to the Academy’s work and can get involved in a number of ways.

  • By nominating colleagues for Fellowship or Awards, and participating in voting processes
  • By submitting applications to the Academy’s international or workshop grant programs, or supporting and encouraging junior colleagues to do so
  • By joining one of the Academy’s committees or working groups (check here for current vacancies)
  • By contributing to policy submissions or roundtables (check the newsletter, or contact policy@socialsciences.org.au to discuss current or proposed activity)
  • By attending Academy events and lectures, including regular state and territory gatherings organised by convenors in most Australian capitals

Social Science researchers

  • Participate in our events and activities (link)

  • Have your say through a consultation process on one of our major policy initiatives
  • Register an event for Social Sciences Week in September, or join one of the dozens of activities that take place around the country
