Don Byrne is currently Chair of Panel D for the ASSA and is an Emeritus Professor of the Australian National University. Prior to being placed on the Roll of Professors Emeritus, he held the Chair of Clinical and Health Psychology at the ANU, and was Foundation Director of the Research School of Psychology at the University. Among other roles both in Australia and overseas, he was Foundation Chair of the ACT Psychologists Registration Board and a Member of the Course Accreditation Committee of the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council - he has also served as President of the International College of Psychosomatic Medicine and as an Honorary Professor of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. He currently sits as a Senior Member of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, primarily in the Mental Health Division. He remains active in research, principally now in the area of Psycho-cardiology.
