Marika Tiggemann is Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor in the School of Psychology at Flinders University. She teaches courses in Personality, in Health Psychology, and in Food, Eating and Body Image. Her research interests centre around body image broadly, and include the sociocultural antecedents (particularly media) of weight, dieting and body image issues among both adults and children. She has had continuous ARC funding from the early 2000s. Her h-index is 60 (Scopus) and 87 (Google Scholar). She currently sits on the Editorial Boards of Body Image, Journal of Health Psychology, and International Journal of Eating Disorders.
