Dr Michael Keating is a Visiting Fellow in the Economics Program at the Research School of Social Sciences in the Australian National University and is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Policy at Griffith University and former Secretary of the Departments of Employment and Industrial Relations, Finance and Prime Minister and Cabinet. Dr Keating has two principle fields of research interest. The first is the integration of social and economic policy, particularly as it relates to improving labour market outcomes. The second, is research into the factors which are affecting our governance, and how governments, institutions and policies are responding, and how relations between the citizen and the state are changing.
