Emeritus Professor Pat Michie is Professor of Psychology at the University of Newcastle. Prior to retirement she held senior appointments at the University of Newcastle ranging from Acting DVC (Research), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Head of School of Psychology. Professor Michie is a Cognitive Neuroscientist specializing in the neurobiology of schizophrenia and psychosis. She is currently working on an animal model of schizophrenia. Her areas of expertise include functional brain imaging, event-related brain potentials and assessments of cognitive deficits.
