Professor Yew-Kwang Ng is an emeritus professor of the Department of Economics, Monash University; he continues to work in the areas of public economics, mesoeconomics (a combination of micro, macro, and simple general equilibrium), happiness issues, welfare biology, and new classical economics (analysing the economies of specialisation). He is also interested in the development of the Chinese economy.
