Initiating the development of a decadal plan for Best Practice in Parenting Support
June/July 2021 (TBC)
Conveners: Professor Matthew Sanders FASSA
“It is crucial that evidence-based parenting supports continue to be developed, adapted, evaluated and disseminated to provide the best possible supports for families and children in Australia and across the globe.”
Over the decade from 2021-2031, families face unprecedented changes across technology, society, the economy, and the environment. It is critical that research, policy and practice work together to provide the best possible support to parents during this time. The decadal plan for Best Practice in Parenting Support will provide a roadmap for this collaboration. To initiate development of the decadal plan, this workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary group of leading and emerging researchers from across Australia, to collaborate with key policy makers to articulate a shared vision and action plan for achieving best practice in parenting support.
