The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia seeks to facilitate and enable international research collaboration. It does this through active involvement with the Association of Asian Social Science Research Councils (AASSREC; the Academy’s International Secretary has been elected 1st Vice-President, and the Academy hosts the secretariat), and through collaborative research funding programs with international social science Academies and governments.

Australia-France Grant Program

The Academy is proud to administer the Social Science Collaborative Research Program (delivered in partnership with the Embassy of France in Australia) and the Pacific Social Sciences Academic Grants (supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-France Indo-Pacific Studies Program).
