The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia seeks to facilitate and enable international research collaboration. It does this through active involvement with the Association of Asian Social Science Research Councils (AASSREC; the Academy’s International Secretary has been elected 1st Vice-President, and the Academy hosts the secretariat), and through collaborative research funding programs with international social science Academies and governments.
