The referendum to change the Constitution to establish an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament was unsuccessful. The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia respects the democratic process and will continue to look for ways to engage, listen and deepen understanding in the interests of Australia as a nation.
