Academy Fellow

Professor Joel Kahn was an Emeritus Professor in Anthropology and Asian Studies at La Trobe University. During 2004 he was a Visiting Professor at the Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore, on leave from La Trobe University. He specialised in the anthropology of Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Indonesia) and in social theory and the history of anthropology. He also worked on popular cosmopolitanisms in the Asia Pacific Region.
