Professor Joseph Forgas is Scientia Professor of Psychology at the University of New South Wales. His major research area is social psychology, and his most recent project investigates the influence of affective states on social cognition, social judgments and interpersonal behaviours. He is also interested in:

• interpersonal behaviour and communication
• social perception and judgments
• group behaviour and the study of social relationships
