Academy Fellow

Professor Patricia Noller was former Director of the University of Queensland Family Centre. She specialised in research into marital and family relationships and communication. She was Past President of the International Society for the Study of Personal Relationships (1998-2000).

Her research focused on:

• sibling relationships and parental favouritism
• marital and parent-child conflict in families with adolescents
• the transition to parenthood from an attachment perspective
• sibling relationships during the separation/divorce of the parents
• comparison and competition in sibling relationships.
