Australian Roadmap for Open Research
Thursday 13 June 2024 | Canberra
A nationally significant conversation to initiate design of an Australian Roadmap for Open Research.
Australia needs a clear vision and co-ordinated leadership for Open Research.
This invitation-only policy roundtable connected a diverse group of stakeholders from across government, research funding bodies, peak bodies, the higher education sector and subject matter experts to consider these issues and ways to improve research impact and achieve better public outcomes.
International speakers and panellists demonstrated how we can transform research culture and the role of institutional leadership. A facilitated discussion tested sector appetite for taking the next steps in Australia, including practical reforms that could begin now. The conversation took place under the Chatham House Rule.
